How to Send Money
Install the Hanpass app and sign up with your passport or (Korean) Alien Registration Card — fully online, no bank visit required.
Select the Chinese currency under the country menu and choose a payout method.
Enter the recipient's details.
Enter the amount, review the total cost and applied exchange rate, then send.
Limits & Documents
You can send up to USD 100,000 per year without supporting documents (combined across all financial institutions, based on Korea's 2026 Foreign Exchange Transaction Regulations). Signing up requires only a passport or (Korean) Alien Registration Card, and you can fund your transfer via bank transfer, convenience stores, or mobile phone payment.

Is there anything I need to sign up for?
When signing up for membership, we are required to collect a copy of the customers ID in accordance with the relevant financial laws. What information is required for overseas remittance?
It varies depending on the recipient country and remittance method, but basically the recipient's name, bank information (account number, routing number, bank name, etc.), remittance amount, remittance purpose, etc. are required.
Hanpass is registered with Korea's Ministry of Economy and Finance as a small-sum overseas remittance business (registration number 2017-11) and operates under the supervision of the Financial Supervisory Service (Korea). A 24-hour fraud detection system (FDS) protects every transfer.
