Notice of Amendment to Electronic Financial Transaction Terms

Dear Hanpass Members,

 Thank you for choosing Hanpass. To provide you with better services and ensure compliance with relevant regulations, the Hanpass Electronic Financial Transaction Terms and Conditions will be amended.

Please review the key changes below for your reference.

2. Key Amendments

- Definition of Fraud Detection System (FDS): Added a new definition clause. (Article 2, Item 12)

- Transaction Restrictions: Added grounds for transaction restrictions and verification procedures based on the FDS. (Article 12, Paragraph 1, Item 11)

- User Cooperation: Added provisions regarding investigations and user cooperation requirements in cases of suspected unauthorized use during the charging of prepaid electronic payment instruments. (Article 24, Paragraph 3)

- Statute of Limitations: Extended the statute of limitations for prepaid electronic payment instruments from 5 years to 10 years. (Article 28, Paragraph 1)

- Validity & Refunds: Adjusted validity periods and refund regulations following the extension of the statute of limitations. (Article 27, Paragraphs 1-2; Deletion of Article 29, Paragraph 5)

- Points Program: Established operating standards for the point system related to electronic financial transaction services. (Article 34)

- Structural Updates: Sequential adjustment of article numbers following the re-organization of the Terms. (Articles 34-36 → Articles 35-37, etc.)

When suspicious or actual fraudulent activities have been detected in connection with a reloadable prepaid wallet and it is determined that an investigation is required, the Company may proceed with an investigation with the user regarding funds added onto their wallet and alleged damage; the user shall actively cooperate with the Company in such an investigation.

Article 27 (Effective Period of Prepaid E-payment Means)

The Company may set by prescribing one year or longer of effective period for the prepaid e-payment means issued by the Company, and in the event the effective period of the prepaid e-payment means is not separately set forth, the statutory period (5 years) as set forth under Article 28 shall be deemed as the effective period.

The Company shall notify the contents of maturing of effective period to the users for 3 times or more, possible extension of effective period and its method, return of 90% of balance after lapsing of effective period and so forth including the 30-day notice to mature the effective period of the prepaid e-payment means as issued through the electronic method of e-mail, text message or the like.

Article 27 (Effective Period of Prepaid E-payment Means)

The validity period of prepaid wallets issued for consideration is the same as the statute of limitations (10 years) stipulated in Article 28(1).

The Company must notify users at least three times, including an initial notice (notice one year prior to expiration), regarding the expiration date of prepaid wallets issued for consideration. This notification shall be issued by e-channels, including but not limited to emails and text messages, and must cover: approaching expiration date; eligibility of extension and how to extend the validity period; how to refund the remaining balance before expiration; and the statement that the remaining balance cannot be refunded after the expiration date.

Article 28 (Extinguishment of Prepaid E-payment Means)
The statutory period of the prepaid e-payment means that is issued for payment base shall be 5 years (60 months) from the date of purchase, final charge date or final service day and the user may use the prepaid e-payment means only within the statutory period set forth by the Company.

In the event the consent on this General Terms and Conditions is withdrawn, the prepaid e-payment means provided for free shall be extinguished that no refund is made.

Article 28 (Extinguishment of Prepaid E-payment Means)

The statute of limitations for prepaid wallets issued for consideration is 10 years from the date of purchase, the date of late reload, or the last date of use. Any remaining balance on a prepaid wallet that the user has not used within this period shall expire and will not be refunded.

In the event the consent on these General Terms and Conditions is withdrawn, any prepaid wallet issued free of charge shall expire and will not be refunded.

Article 29 (Cancellation of Purchase, Refund, Etc.)

After lapsing the effective period (limited to the case of statutory period yet to be completed), the user may request the Company for refund on the unused balance recorded on the prepaid e-payment means, and the Company shall refund 90% of the balance (amount to be paid had the request made prior to the lapse of effective period).

Notwithstanding Paragraph 1 through Paragraph 5, for the case of the prepaid e-payment means reserved or provides from the Company for free, it shall be excluded from the subject of refund.

In the event the Company reduces the franchise store that may use the prepaid e-payment means that is disadvantageous to the user or modifying the service condition of the prepaid e-payment means, entire balance amount recorded on the prepaid e-payment means shall be paid. However, it shall be excluded in the following cases.

Article 34 (Loyalty Program)

The Company may grant points (hereinafter “Points”) to users in accordance with its policies when users meet conditions specified by the Company, such as using e-financial transaction services, participating in events or promotions, or completing games or achievements

Specific details regarding point accrual criteria, accrual rates, how and where to use, validity periods, expiration, restrictions, corrections, and other operational matters shall be governed by the “Loyalty Program Policy.” The Company shall post the “Loyalty Program Policy” on its official website or mobile app, and shall post any changes to it using the same way.

Points may only be used within the scope and for the purposes designated by the Company. Users may not transfer, lend, pledge, or trade points for monetary compensation to others without the Company’s prior consent.

The Company may devalue all or part of the points, cap the points, or take necessary measures such as account suspension if points are accrued or used due to system errors, negligence, or fraudulent activities by the user (including identity theft, use of abnormal or automated tools, etc.)..

If the user terminates the e-financial transaction service agreement by withdrawing (terminating the service use agreement) or revoking consent to these Terms and Conditions, any unused portion of points accrued or provided free of charge by the Company shall immediately expire and shall not be refunded.

4. Objections and Inquiries

If you do not agree with these amendments, you may terminate your service agreement within one (1) month from the date of this notice.

If no objection is raised within this period, you will be deemed to have accepted the revised Terms and Conditions.
